My only hope if they make another Terminator... they stop trying to "outdo" the previous film time travel wise.
Genisys was a mess due to it's time travel story, back here... then there, now here... just... ugh.
And, please, finally... be logical.
Sending one Terminator back in time has not worked. It's never worked. Stop doing it. Send two, send... five. Send ten of the damned things.
And, maybe, just me, I'd like to see a Terminator film with a dark ending. These unstoppable killing machines always get stopped. They've lost their edge, they don't have that wow they did in the first film.
Watch a new Terminator film, they show off a new model like it's so amazing... and all I can think is, "The weak humans will kill this fancy new machine".
I say, go back to Salvation's theme. During the war in the future. Don't make John the main character, in a "end of mankind" situation, there would have to be many, many other characters to build stories around.
We've had five films around John and Skynet trying (pathetically) to kill him, and failing.
And, if they are going to do a time travel story... make it interesting.
Hell, with Genisys, I was more interested in the "Pops" Terminator, what did he do during those 30 some years after Sarah and Kyle traveled through time?
What did the Terminator do when he rescued Sarah when she was a child? Her growing up with him was a far more interesting idea.
